Shawnta Goes to Clemson!

NOTE: As of Feb. 29, 2024, Carolina Youth Development Center (CYDC) has rebranded to Landmarks for Families. Our nonprofit, community programs and residential services remain committed to cultivating thriving youth and families in this new chapter.

First Tiger football game ticket secured!

Former Carolina Youth Development Center Ledford House resident and Clemson University freshman Shawnta Campbell left Saturday morning for Tigertown and has since been settling into her new digs.

So what’s one of the first things you do when you’ve moved into your Clemson dorm and class schedules are set? Get your first ever ticket to a Clemson football game to watch the defending National Champions, of course!

The North Charleston High School (NCHS) graduate, who finished sixth in her class and was inducted into the NCHS Hall of Fame, attended her first college class on August 23 and will be majoring in Microbiology with a professional goal of becoming a neonatal nurse!
