SC DJJ Honors CYDC as Best ‘Up and Coming’ JRT Site

CYDC CARE Manager Domoniquie Conyers and CYDC Education and Enrichment Coordinator Daydra Cobin posing with our SC DJJ Certificate.

NOTE: As of Feb. 29, 2024, Carolina Youth Development Center (CYDC) has rebranded to Landmarks for Families. Our nonprofit, community programs and residential services remain committed to cultivating thriving youth and families in this new chapter.

We are thrilled to share that the SC Department of Juvenile Justice recently recognized CYDC as the best “up and coming” Job Readiness Training (JRT) partner site, honoring us with a certificate and a trophy at an awards banquet in Columbia!

The JRT program provides paid internships for underserved high school youth ages 14-18, helping them acquire their first job experience and learn workplace skills.

For more informaiton about the JRT program, and how you can become involved as an employer partner site, visit our Bakker Career Center page.
