CYDC is a 501(c)(3) organization that serves families seeking support, families in crisis, and children experiencing homelessness or who are victims of physical and sexual abuse, neglect, and abandonment. We strive to deliver family education, preservation, residential and reunification services that teach, heal, strengthen, and empower more than 900 children and families annually.

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:

Consultant Managers will ensure Family Teachers carry out responsibilities of the Teaching Family Program while maintaining program fidelity by providing supervision, support and training to Family Teachers. Consultant Managers will also provide youth with a caring environment in which to grow and learn; model and teach social skills, self-help skills, academic skills, and independent living skills; foster the development of youth; administer the day-to-day operations of a large family residence; and maintain confidentiality of youth and program information. 

Type of Knowledge Required:  Must possess the knowledge and cultural sensitivity necessary to work with diverse population of children who have been traumatized.  Must possess knowledge of behavior modification basic counseling techniques, skills in implementing programs and supervisory skills.

Education and Specific Training:  Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, education, or a related human services field is preferred. Will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.
