April is Child Abuse Prevention Month

NOTE: As of Feb. 29, 2024, Carolina Youth Development Center (CYDC) has rebranded to Landmarks for Families. Our nonprofit, community programs and residential services remain committed to cultivating thriving youth and families in this new chapter.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to recognize that we each play a part in promoting the social and emotional well-being of children and families in our communities. More than 1,600 families have received support and resources to keep their children from being removed, through CYDC’s Strengthening Families outreach program.

Each week during April we will be sharing information and resources for child abuse prevention via our Facebook and Twitter pages. You can follow the National Child Abuse Prevention Month Twitter feed at #ChildAbusePreventionMonth or visit childwelfare.gov to learn more about preventing child abuse.
